ASTON MARTIN is bringing back the Lagonda name, with the super saloon being offered for sale by invitation only. To be built at the company's plant at Gaydon in Warwickshire, the new car will be inspired by the Lagonda of 1976. Aston Martin is currently giving no indication of what the new Lagonda will cost other than saying that the price will be "commensurate with the car's exclusivity, quality and luxurious nature".
Subaru showed two other concepts alongside the Levorg at the Tokyo Motor Show – both of which are interesting, neither of which came with very much information. The Subaru Viziv Evolution proposes a three-motor hybrid all-wheel drive system, similar to that under development by Honda, while the Subaru Cross Sport Design concept appears to be nothing less than a shooting brake estate version of the BRZ. Ford is keeping true to its word in making the Fiesta a truly global car, taking the wraps off the new Fiesta saloon in China this week. Ford has earmarked China as a key market for the Fiesta saloon – given China’s penchant for three-box bodystyles. In fact, Ford is so serious about making the Fiesta a success in China that it will be built at a brand new factory in Nanjing. Essentially yes.
